St Edmund Lodge no. 4714
SVOT was once again privilaged to visit a great lodge in Wilstshire. 22 brethren from Sodbury Vale, headed by WM Bro Tony Foster experienced a superb evening in the town of Calne, on a frosty, late November evening.
We were welcomed by WM John Brittain who along with his fellow brethren extended a very warm welcome at their final meeting before Christmas.
Not put off by a diversion on route, carefully mastered by WBro Roger Fox who once again was happy to drive the majority of the brethren that travelled directly from Chipping Sodbury.
With it being the last meeting this year they also decided to bump up the raffle prizes from a usual number of 5-6 to 37 raffle prizes so there were many smiling faces at the end of the evening!
A kind offer for us to return at any future meeting was extended to us and WM Tony Foster along with his fellow brethren thoroughly enjoyed the meeting and festive board, proving that visiting other lodges really helps to enhance the masonic experience.
